Support for Water Warriors school programme in Botswana

African Water Foundation supports the StartUp4kids’ Water Warriors school programme and the Environmental Awareness Conference in Botswana, creating awareness about the importance of saving water and caring for the Okavango Delta. These initiatives build life skills and empower young leaders to protect their environment. Through the Water Warriors programme, 275 club members from 15 schools in Maun will explore water conservation through hands-on activities guided by dedicated trainers. Their peer-to-peer outreach will indirectly reach more than 15,000 fellow students. Our support also helps make the annual Environmental Awareness Conference possible, where more than 500 learners, parents, officials, and partners come together to learn from the learners’ ideas, new knowledge, and inspiring commitment to safeguarding water and the Okavango Delta.
